This CD is packed full of wonderful songs for children and adults will enjoy them also. Although I am older and learning French for the first time (brain food), I found these songs fairly easy to understand and some even familiar in the English version. Most kids will probably learn the songs rapidly. The singers are very good and leave a happy feeling in the heart. I would recommend this for those who are learning French (child or adult) as a tool for advancement of the language.
Rating: 5 / 5
The only problem with this CD is that it does not include either a printed version of the French lyrics, or an English translation of the lyrics. Other similar CDs I’ve purchased include both.

My daughter is 20 months old and loves music, but this is by far her favorite CD. Better still, her father, brother (age 12), and I all love it, too! This is a classic collection, with traditional children’s songs done in the post-war style of the 1950s. You’ve probably never heard any songs from it, but it’s probably the album you’re imagining when you think of getting a CD of French songs for your child. The language is very clear and the songs are enjoyable even if you don’t know most (or any!) of the vocabulary. The only problem with the CD is that the liner notes do not include the lyrics; however, because these are traditional songs, you can find the lyrics online. If it had the lyrics in the liner, I’d want to give it 6 stars!

It’s great! Sounds very pleasing to adults as well as my toddler son, we both love it. Sounds very “vintage” and is clearly a masterpiece.

At first it sounds old fashion, songs that my father listened to. My daughter is 19 months old and sings to it every time we are in the car. excellent buy.
